Post Traumatic Tendencies (m/m fiction)

Post Traumatic Tendencies is my favorite so far. It has a bit of a desolate tone that I like. All my stories end up having reasonably sad endings until I go through revision.

After the death of a mutual lover two longtime enemies come back together. Apologies are made and more regrets are stirred. (Short story. Approx: 2,900 words)

excerpt ~

They sat in companionable silence, trading shots. When it became too difficult to pour they just passed the bottle back and forth.

Rhett glared at the bowl of peanuts as if it was the cause of all his problems. “I cheated on Rami.”

Benton grinned happily, drunkenly. “I hate to tell you, big guy, but he cheated too, a lot. A lot. We woke up a fucking apartment complex – and you didn’t need to know that.” He faltered at Rhett’s glare. “Don’t piss off the drunk evil soldier.”

“I’m not-I’m a never mind. That doesn’t mean I’m not about to kill you. With a knife. In the face.”
